BELGRADE The United Regions of Serbia (URS) has accepted a proposal from its coalition partners on a division of the Ministry of Finance and the Economy. The ministry is currently run by party leader Mladjan Dinkic. URS agrees to split Ministry of Finance and Economy In that way, Dinkic would remain in charge of finance, while the Serb Progressive Party (SNS) would get to deal with the economy, the Beta news agency has reported after the party held a meeting of its presidency on Sunday in Belgrade. A statement said that the URS was ready to replace its ministers, a number of state secretaries from the party and other officials in the cabinet as part of the planned reshuffle. The party also said it was committed to fully contributing to a comprehensive cabinet reshuffle, the statement said. "On July 27, I talked with Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and we agreed that I would continue to run the finance ministry, while someone from the Progressives will take the ministry of the economy over. Whoever assumes the post, they can count on my full support," Dinkic stressed. The reshuffled cabinet's main goal will be to boost employment, which, Dinkic noted, was not going to be any easy task.
