BELGRADE Zorana Mihajlovic has said that she expected "a thorough and comprehensive evaluation of the work of all government sectors." The energy minister from the ranks of the ruling SNS party also told Politika in an interview that the principle of "all or no one in the government," without analyzing the results and reviewing all the options for responding to new challenges, was "unexpected behavior to her." SNS warns partners about their approach to reshuffle "We should not play around at a time when we should be truly committed to the government reshuffle. If the economy, economic growth and financial stability are the government priorities in the future, I expected a thorough and comprehensive evaluation of the work of all sectors and fair highlighting of problems so the reshuffle would find better ways of solving the problems," the Serb Progressive Party (SNS) vice president said. Her comments came after she earlier this week expressed her "distrust" towards Mladjan Dinkic's United Regions of Serbia (URS), a coalition partner of the SNS. "We are entering a new stage and it seems there is no synergy. If there is no understanding for these needs, then there is a possibility of a coalition agreement with existing figures, but with a new way of operating... The stakes are too high to play with compromises," Mihajlovic stressed. When asked if it was true that SNS leader Aleksandar Vucic wanted to take over the sector finances and leave the economy to Dinkic - currently Serbia's minister of economy and finance - she responded that she "never heard Vucic say that." "Vucic's vision is a Serbia without corruption and crime, where people work and build, a country moving towards the EU and caring for each of its citizens," she stated, adding that vision was the reason she was with him. The SNS wants to raise the efficiency in the new stage, which requires all the energy, capability and willingness to move on, she underscored. "It is necessary... to push aside individual and party egos and for everyone to continue working together for the good of the people," Mihajlovic stated. The names of the ministers are not an issue, and great improvements are needed in the Socialist Party of Serbia and SNS too, as well as in other parties, she said. (Beta, file) Politika Tanjug
