BELGRADE EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule said on Thursday Serbia had achieved undeniable results in meeting the criteria for EU integration. The European Commission (EC) expected the reforms to continue and be sustainable, he added. According to Fule, "the Serbian people will gradually feel the benefits of the accession talks, and not only at their completion." Fule stated that when the EC was preparing an opinion on Serbia's bid for EU membership two years ago, he listed eight areas that needed progress, adding that Serbia has been successful in achieving results. "Serbia now has to continue working on these issues with fervour," he noted. Fule met on Thursday with Serbian Parliament Speaker Nebojsa Stefanovic and heads of party groups within the parliament. After his address to parliament, he met with Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic.
