"No consensus" on privatizing Telekom

BELGRADE Mladjan Dinkic has said that there will be no privatization of Telekom Srbija "until further notice". The Serbian government has not reached any consensus on the issue, the minister of economy and finance said on Wednesday. "No consensus" on privatizing Telekom Telekom is Serbia's state-run telecommunications company. Dinkic addressed a press conference in the Serbian government to say that the program of measures for the public sector reform stipulates that the status of 179 companies, which are being restructured and have 54,000 employees, should be resolved by June 30 next year. The companies have been restructured for 12 years and this has to end, Dinkic said. Tanjug

Telekom is Serbia's state-run telecommunications company.
