VIENNA Ivica Dacic said on Sunday Serbia expected a positive decision from Brussels about getting a start date for the accession talks with the EU. This is because "any other decision would have a negative impact on the country's reforms," the prime minister said. Serbia expects positive decision from Brussels Dacic, who was attending the European Forum Wachau in Austria, said Serbia had made "a historic step forward in solving the issue of Kosovo and the position of the Serbs there." "The Serbian government has shown it is resolved to meet all its obligations in full. At the same time, we expect the EU to fulfil its promise, which it stated in the form of a requirement late last year. Any negative outcome will have a negative impact on the reforms. It affects the overall regional and European stability and security," Dacic pointed out. Serbia is aware of all the problems the EU faces and it does not want a new set of rules and requirements created for it, but simply for what is already known as a requirement to be implemented, he remarked. "Serbia will do its homework. I think Serbia's EU integration is very important for the entire region and that the EU will acknowledge the effort," he stressed. He pointed out the necessity of EU enlargement to the Western Balkans, adding that the process must not slow down or stop after Croatia's accession. According to announcements, the European Forum Wachau focused on the aftermath of the crisis and "new Europe." Austria's Foreign Minister Michael Spindelegger and his Romanian and Macedonian colleagues Titus Corlatean and Nikola Poposki attended the plenary session. Kosovo's Prime Minister Hashim Thaci was also present. The European Forum Wachau is organized by the People's Party of Lower Austria and the Austrian Foreign Ministry. ( Tanjug
