Thaci "cannot wait" to meet with Serbs

He added that he would "not think about whether Serbia will make decisions against the interests of the Serbian citizens in Kosovo" and that he does "not believe that the Serbs in the north would make a decision that would jeopardize or seriously damage the European and Euro-Atlantic future of Serbia." Commenting on the situation in northern Kosovo, Thaci said that it has been "hard" over the past 15 years, and that it had "cost the population the most," that "nobody was content with this situation - neither the EU, nor the U.S., and that it had only suited individuals." Regarding the local elections, planned for this fall, Thaci denied the claims that citizens from the north of Kosovo would only be able to vote if they possessed documents of "the Republic of Kosovo."
