NOVI SAD Novi Sad-based Museum of Vojvodina has joined B92 Fund’s Battle for the Babies campaign as a part of the Night of Museums manifestation. The Night of Museums was held in towns across Serbia on Saturday night. The manifestation was held in 40 locations in Novi Sad, including the Museum of Vojvodina. If barley grows first, it means she is carrying a boy and if wheat grows first the baby will be a girl,” the Museum of Vojvodina’s volunteer Ivan Tadic explained the ancient Egyptian custom. The money collected from the sale of the pots is intended for the Battle for the Babies campaign. The Museum of Vojvodina Spokeswoman Sladjana Velendecic said that the museum “wanted to spread the word about the campaign, help the cause and test the ancient Egyptians’ customs”. (B92) B92
