Heavy hailstorm hits northern Serbia

KULA A heavy hailstorm hit Serbia’s northern province of Vojvodina on Saturday night, causing great damage to crops. Anti-hail missiles were fired in the entire Backa district but they were ineffective in some areas. Heavy hailstorm hits northern Serbia Fields are completely flooded in Backa Palanka area. The damage will be assessed in the next several days. Strong wind pulled out trees and broke branches in the village of Kulpin and several other towns. Hailstones were the size of a pigeon egg.
