BELGRADE Serbia's First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said late on Friday that Serbia was headed in the right direction and that it would not give up on it. He added that nobody could undermine it by insults and harsh words, adding that he was not afraid of visiting Kosovo. Serbia is “headed in right direction” After receiving the European personality of the year 2012 award in Belgrade Friday evening, Vucic said that Serbia's citizens had showed what they really thought of the government’s current method of solving the Kosovo problem by not coming in large numbers to a protest against the Brussels agreement that was staged in downtown Belgrade earlier on Friday. The first deputy PM said that Serbian citizens were mature enough and that they had seen and understood what it was all about. He did not want to comment on the insults thrown at him at yesterday's protest. Vucic said that he was preparing to visit Kosovo on Sunday to meet with the local Serbs. Asked whether he was afraid of going to Kosovo, he said he felt no fear whatsoever. “I know that we have done everything that is in our power, that we have done the best we could for our country. If some people see this differently I will try to explain everything and convince them of a possibility that we perhaps see better and to point to all the facts, explain and give answers to any questions that may arise,” stressed the deputy PM.
