A team which will prepare an implementation plan for the Brussels agreements held its first session in Belgrade on Wednesday.

BELGRADE A team which will prepare an implementation plan for the Brussels agreements held its first session in Belgrade on Wednesday. Serbia's state leadership has said there was "absolute unity that they will not succumb to any pressure or some new conditions concerning the implementation of the deal." Team for implementation of deal convenes Members of Belgrade and Pristina negotiating teams should on Thursday in Brussels present a plan for the implementation of the agreement reached last week. According to the agreement, the plan for the implementation should be made by April 26. On Wednesday, the meeting appointed the members of Serbia's state delegation in the negotiations on the implementation plan, Tanjug learned from sources close to top officials. During the first meeting, the team appointed the delegation and it will gather president's advisor Marko Djuric , Secretary General of the Serbian government Veljko Odalovic, Minister of Justice and Public Administration Nikola Selakovic and Deputy Police Director Branislav Mitrovic. Tanjug also sid that the delegation will meet with representatives of the European Commission and a similar team from Pristina in Brussels on Thursday. During the session on Tuesday, the Serbian government adopted conclusions to set up a team in charge of drafting the plan for the implementation of "the first sgreement on the principles of normalization of Belgrade-Pristina relations." Tanjug reported earlier that "Belgrade's attitude toward the agreement will depend on the potential attempts at imposing previously prepared implementation plans which would not be acceptable for Serbia." The team's task is to prepare and submit to the government the plan for the implementation of the Brussels agreement including the deadlines in keeping with point 12 of the agreement. The talks on the plan of implementation is of key importance for further implementation of the agreement because this will determined the answer to the question as to whether the agreement would truly lead to a real autonomy for Serbs, Tanjug learned from sources close to top officials. The talks on the plan for the implementation is of paramount importance for further implementation of the deal, as it depends on its content whether the agreement will lead to "a real autonomy" for Serbs in Kosovo. Justice Minister Nikola Selakovic stressed earlier in the day that the team should define a way to implement the agreement reached in Brussels. He said that the team had an important job because some regulations were general and needed to be made more concrete and implemented. “This is an extremely important step. The agreement has been reached but now we have to see how it will be implemented. It envisages many serious things. Every comma, every full stop needs to be something we must not give up on,” the minister said. He stressed that the entire government could not partake in the implementation of the agreement and that a team had been formed that would define the implementation plan on behalf of the government, adding that the entire government and all top officials would stand behind the plan.
