Firefighters extinguish fire after gas pipeline explosion

A fire that broke out near the Ibar Highway after a gas pipeline explosion on Saturday morning has been extinguished. Nobody was injured in the incident.

BELGRADE A fire that broke out near the Ibar Highway after a gas pipeline explosion on Saturday morning has been extinguished. Nobody was injured in the incident. “Firefighters will remain at the scene for a few more hours in order to monitor the situation,” Belgrade Emergency Situations Administration Head Sanja Zugic Vuksanovic told Beta news agency. Firefighters extinguish fire after gas pipeline explosion The fire broke out at 7:45 CET near the Belgrade suburb of Resnik after the gas pipeline explosion. Public gas company Srbijagas immediately shut the pipeline down and made it easier for the firefighters to put out the fire. “Traffic in this part of the city will soon be normalized,” Zugic Vuksanovic added. 11 fire trucks and 29 firefighters were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters extinguish fire after gas pipeline explosion

The fire broke out at 7:45 CET near the Belgrade suburb of Resnik after the gas pipeline explosion. Public gas company Srbijagas immediately shut the pipeline down and made it easier for the firefighters to put out the fire.

“Traffic in this part of the city will soon be normalized,” Žugić Vuksanović added.

11 fire trucks and 29 firefighters were dispatched to the scene.
