The State Audit Institution (DRI) has filed a number of misdemeanor and criminal reports against ministers, ambassadors, mayors and other public servants.

BELGRADE The State Audit Institution (DRI) has filed a number of misdemeanor and criminal reports against ministers, ambassadors, mayors and other public servants. Beta is reporting that the institution charges them over irregularities in 2011 budget spending. State auditor files reports over misspending The agency posted a statement on its website (www.dri.rs) reading that it had moved for misdemeanor proceedings in 193 cases, and filed 28 economic offense reports and eight criminal reports. The reports name 319 persons in irregularities the auditors found in financial reports for 2011 from these budget beneficiaries. According to the website, the criminal reports were filed against the mayors of Pozarevac, Uzice, and Vranje, and against the heads of the local municipalities of Backi Petrovac and Pirot. Misdemeanor proceedings were mounted against seven Serbian ambassadors who served in Belgium, Italy, Greece, France, Russia, and Montenegro: Radomir Diklic, Sanda Raskovic-Ivic, Dragan Zupanjevac, Dusan Batakovic, Jelica Kurjak, and Zoran Lutovac, respectively. Misdemeanor proceedings were also initiated against Belgrade's City Waste Management CEO Aleksandar Stamenkovic, Elektrovojvodina power company director Tihomir Simic, natural resort Mokra Gora Director Emir Kusturica, Srbijagas natural gas distributor director Dusan Bajatovic, Belgrade city transport service GSP head Mileta Radojevic and Kostolac thermal power plant and coal mine director Dragan Jovanovic. According to the website, the criminal reports were filed against the mayors of Požarevac, Užice, and Vranje, and against the heads of the local municipalities of Bački Petrovac and Pirot.
