No aflatoxin in cattle fodder, analysis confirms

BELGRADE The Scientific Veterinary Institute of Serbia has performed analysis of cattle feed and determined that it does not contain increased levels of aflatoxin. B92 has seen the results of analyses of fodder made by Belgrade-based PKB and Pancevo-based Jabuka factories that show that aflatoxin levels are normal. No aflatoxin in cattle fodder, analysis confirms The Scientific Veterinary Institute of Serbia tested 29 samples and levels of aflatoxin in them are within permissible limit, the Institute has confirmed. The Institute tested hay, concentrate feed, haylage, soybeans grits, corn silage, mixed feed and soybean meal. The results are satisfactory since there are no increased amounts of aflatoxin in any sample, the Scientific Veterinary Institute of Serbia released. Serbian Agriculture Minister Goran Knezevic was present during sampling in the two factories. Extraordinary control will be performed at all 76 farms in Serbia, the minister said on Saturday. The Institute tested hay, concentrate feed, haylage, soybeans grits, corn silage, mixed feed and soybean meal. The results are satisfactory since there are no increased amounts of aflatoxin in any sample, the Scientific Veterinary Institute of Serbia released.

Serbian Agriculture Minister Goran Knežević was present during sampling in the two factories.

Extraordinary control will be performed at all 76 farms in Serbia, the minister said on Saturday.
