Ombudsman warns of lack of economic, social rights However, Jankovic said that he was not satisfied with such numbers. “For every citizen whose rights are violated or if they are deprived of them because a single recommendation has not been implemented, the entire legal system is meaningless and state institutions have lost credibility. Thousands of violations of citizens’ rights remain hidden,” he told daily Politika. The ombudsman stressed that citizens today suffered mostly due to lack of economic and social rights.
