BELGRADE Germany has not set new conditions for Serbia in order to get a date for the beginning of the EU accession negotiations, German Ambassador Heinz Wilhelm says. He stressed that “everything does not depend on Germany” and reiterated that a date for the start of the EU accession talks “depends on results of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue”. German ambassador: No new conditions for Serbia Wilhelm expressed hope that the talks in Brussels, under the auspices of EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton, would “yield results” by April 16 when the European Commission (EC) would present its report to the EU Council. He stressed that Berlin was satisfied that Serbia’s First Deputy PM Aleksandar Vucic had visited Germany during “key weeks” for Serbia’s EU integration and especially that he had addressed members of Bundestag. “The German parliament should give the green light to the German government to approve a date for the start of Serbia’s negotiations. Key weeks are ahead of Serbia,” Wilhelm noted. He reiterated that a German parliamentary delegation would visit Serbia in mid-March and a joint French-German delegation a month later.
