One of the most famous and popular Serbian actors Josif Tatić died on Friday night in Belgrade at the age of 67.

BELGRADE One of the most famous and popular Serbian actors Josif Tatic died on Friday night in Belgrade at the age of 67. Tatic was best known for his roles in numerous TV shows and series and theater plays. Famous Serbian actor passes away The famous actor died in his sleep. Tatic was born on April 13, 1946 in Novi Sad. His parents Branko and Hristina were also actors. He graduated from the Theater, Film, Radio and Television Academy in Belgrade. Tatic was a member of the Yugoslav Drama Theater (JDP) since 1986 but he also played in numerous other theaters in Belgrade and Novi Sad. During his career, Tatic played in more than 70 movies and just as many plays. In the last several years the actor only played a role in the JDP’s drama Hadersfild. The play was performed more than 150 times. Tatic also enjoyed singing and he used to be a boxer in his early years. He is survived by his wife Beba and two daughters, Jelisaveta and Hristina.
