NOVI SAD The Novi Sad branch of the ruling Serb Progressives (SNS) said on Thursday that the town was experiencing "incitement to separatism". The party also said that the purpose of this was "to halt the fight against corruption": "Incitement to separatism targets anti-corruption push" "Incitement to separatism done by some political association and their 'soldiers' is scandalous, but artificially creating of an atmosphere of chaos and incidents will not stop the ever more decisive fight against corruption, launched by Aleksandar Vucic." The local SNS further stated that they would not allow "any graffiti, separatist strategies, or the demagogy of autonomist advocates (autonomasi) to deflect the attention and slow down the state's showdown with crime." "Instead of putting up separatist slogans, the leaders of these marginal groups should join the SNS in the fight against corruption and crime and help uncover all participants in this scourge which has spread to almost all parts of our society," the party concluded. The statement came after graffitis reading "Vojvodina republic" were seen in Novi Sad, the administrative center of the northern province. The graffiti reading, 'Vojvodina republic' (Beta) Beta
