BRUSSELS Serbia's Deputy PM Suzana Grubjesic said Tuesday Serbia's reforms had to continue despite growing skepticism about EU enlargement, both in the EU and Serbia. "If there is enlargement fatigue, there must be no reform fatigue," she stated, adding she was not surprised by the results of the latest poll in Serbia, which say that only 41 percent of the people were in favor of joining the EU. “Reforms continue despite declining support for EU“ “Support for EU integration spiked suddenly after Serbia was put on the Schengen white list,” Grubjesic noted. “As soon as something positive happens, support grows,” she pointed out. "It was constructive, but we will see in a few months if it was productive," she told reporters after a three-hour conference on Western Balkans organized by the European Progressive Party, the strongest faction in the European Parliament. The Serbian deputy PM, who had a series of meetings with leaders of European parties belonging to right centre, said it was extremely important what the members and party heads within that group thought of EU integration, adding that she expected to see results when the European Council decides mid-2013 on the start date for the accession talks with Serbia.
