President “more optimistic about dialogue”

BELGRADE Serbia’s President Tomislav Nikolic says he is now more optimistic about the next round of the negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina. He stressed that he was more optimistic because “negotiators will have to submit their report to parliament”. He added that “nobody will be able to make sudden decisions anymore because there is a document adopted by parliament now”. According to Nikolic, by supporting the Resolution the opposition realized that it has gotten an opportunity to control the ruling majority. The Serbian parliament adopted the Resolution on Kosovo late on Saturday. Nikolić said after the session that he was satisfied that the opposition and the ruling majority agreed on Kosovo “because a serious platform is behind the Resolution.”
