BELGRADE The implementation of the four-year National EU Integration Plan should have been faster, says government’s EU Integration Office Director Milan Pajevic. According to him, the implementation of the National EU Integration Plan will be finished by the end of the year. “Implementation of EU integration plan should go faster” Pajevic told daily Danas that about 80 percent of the plan had been fulfilled between July 2008 and September 2012. The daily has learnt that all ministries should send their comments to a draft action plan for the implementation of the European Commission’s recommendations by Monday. The final draft should be first determined by the Coordination body for the EU integration which is headed by PM Ivica Dacic next week and by the government as well, Danas writes. Pajevic explained that once the government has adopted the action plan that would contain concrete tasks that stem from conclusions of the EC’s annual report, all the ministries and state organs would have to work on the fulfillment of the tasks contained in the document. “The fulfillment of the plan would be a test for ministries and the government and for the true commitment of our authorities on the EU pathway and reforms,” he concluded.
