BELGRADE Whoever requested Deputy PM Aleksandar Vucic’s phone records was unsuccessful because the Security-Information Agency (BIA) thwarted the attempt, a daily says. Quoting well-informed sources, daily Politika writes that BIA prevented the forwarding of the phone records to the police on time. Police did not get Vucic’s phone records, daily says The sources say that the attempt to obtain the deputy PM’s phone records was thwarted before Telekom Srbija could respond to a request of an unknown police inspector. According to the daily, the successful BIA action proves that counterintelligence protection functions well. The sources say that the attempt to obtain the deputy PM’s phone records was thwarted before Telekom Srbija could respond to a request of an unknown police inspector.

According to the daily, the successful BIA action proves that counterintelligence protection functions well.

BIA informed Vučić that someone from the police (MUP) had issued an order to tap his phone and that President Tomislav Nikolić had been wiretapped for quite some time.
