BELGRADE The Serbian parliament finished a debate on all items of the agenda on Wednesday, including a draft law on amnesty. MPs will vote on the draft tomorrow at 11:00 CET. They will also vote on the Law on Medicines and Medical Devices and confirm several inter-state agreements. The draft decision on the election of the NBS Council of Governors was on the agenda of the current session but the Finance Committee withdrew it from the procedure so the president and new members of the Council could be elected in accordance with the new changes to the Law on the NBS, which were adopted by the parliament two days ago. The Committee decided at a session on Tuesday to withdraw the drafts from the parliamentary procedure. The Committee made a new draft decision on the election of the NBS Council of Governors on Tuesday, nominating Nebojsa Savic for the Council of Governors president. The draft also proposes members of the Council - Stojan Stamenkovic who will have a four-year mandate, Miladin Kovacevic with a three-year mandate, Nikola Martinovic with a two-year mandate and Ivan Nikolic with a one-year mandate. MPs to discuss changes to law on central bank

Serbian parliament Speaker Nebojša Stefanović scheduled a new session for 12:00 CET on Thursday and draft decision on the election of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Council of Governors and draft decision on the election of an Administration for the Supervision of Financial Institutions director will be the only two items on the agenda.

The draft decision on the election of the NBS Council of Governors was on the agenda of the current session but the Finance Committee withdrew it from the procedure so the president and new members of the Council could be elected in accordance with the new changes to the Law on the NBS, which were adopted by the parliament two days ago.
