BELGRADE Serbian police Director Milorad Veljovic has announced that an investigation of wiretapping of the president and first deputy PM will begin on Monday. President Tomislav Nikolic and First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic have openly said that they are being wiretapped. Police director: Probe into wiretapping to start Monday Serbia’s Prime Minister and Interior Minister said on Friday that he did not have anything to do with the wiretapping, adding that it was unacceptable. “I’m on sick leave at the moment but I will return to work on Monday in order to determine all facts regarding the events. I am afraid that our working group has started serious investigations into privatizations of 24 companies and I don’t want such things to be used to thwart its work,” Veljovic stressed. Serbia’s Prime Minister and Interior Minister said on Friday that he did not have anything to do with the wiretapping, adding that it was unacceptable.

“I’m on sick leave at the moment but I will return to work on Monday in order to determine all facts regarding the events. I am afraid that our working group has started serious investigations into privatizations of 24 companies and I don’t want such things to be used to thwart its work,” Veljović stressed.
