After that, the British official said he was "glad to have visited Serbia during an important stage in its EU accession". "The progress report is also clear when it comes to the need to continue with internal reforms and good-neighborly relations, including resolute commitment to normalization of relations with Kosovo," he noted. Hague said that the meeting between Dacic and Hashim Thaci, mediated by Catherine Ashton, represented a very important first step, the British embassy in Serbia released in a statement.
