Prosecution: Kosovo official stabbed himself 11 times

The District Prosecution in Priština has determined that Kosovo Privatization Agency Director Dino Asanaj committed suicide by stabbing himself 11 times.

PRISTINA The District Prosecution in Pristina has determined that Kosovo Privatization Agency Director Dino Asanaj committed suicide by stabbing himself 11 times. The investigation and a DNA analysis have confirmed that only Asanaj’s fingerprints were found on a knife that was used in the suicide and that the blood found on the scene was his as well. Prosecution: Kosovo official stabbed himself 11 times According to the Prosecution, all the analyses, including a sample taken from under Asanaj’s fingernails, show no traces of somebody else’s DNA. The Prosecution has therefore closed the investigation into Asanaj’s death and announced that he committed suicide by stabbing himself 11 times on June 16. A graphology test confirmed that a short suicide note was written by Asanaj and footage taken by security cameras outside his building showed that no stranger had entered the building at the time when Asanaj died. The police reviewed his phone records and determined that he did not get any threats. However, the investigators did not rule out a possibility that someone had incited Asanaj to kill himself. Beta
