BELGRADE New Belgrade team chief Dejan Pavicevic says that Serbia will insist on a maximal status neutrality of the Kosovo customs. He pointed out that it would be frivolous for the new government to annul the agreements that had already been reached. “Kosovo customs must be status neutral” “We will do our best to insist on a maximal status neutrality of the Kosovo customs and that they act only according to the fact that Kosovo is a special customs territory, just like Hong Kong is a special customs territory within China,” Pavicevic told daily Politika. He added that Serbia would insist the most on EULEX’s role. According to him, Serbia has caused a counter-effect by not implementing the agreements that have been reached. “If we annul any agreement, we will get a very simple thing – there will be no further dialogue,” the team chief noted, adding that he would not make any decisions without the government’s consent.
