"Important talks on Serbia's future" in Berlin “You know that I'm not always optimistic. We know what we cannot do but we also know what our obligations are and what we can and have to do,” Vucic told reporters after the talks with German officials in Berlin. Vucic underscored that at the same time, attention needs to be paid to the people and their economic benefits, which was also a subject of talks. “Serbia will adopt all the decisions in keeping with the needs of its citizens, respecting its international, legal and political obligations,” Vucic said. Replying to reporters' questions as to whether there were any talks on statements of EP President Martin Schultz, Kosovo and human organ trafficking, Vucic replied that the main issues were discussed but he did not wish to reveal the contents of the talks. Commenting on the talks in the Defense Ministry where he met with parliamentary and Parliament State Secretary Christian Schmidt, Vucic said that the talks covered bilateral cooperation, cooperation within Partnership for Peace program, military and economic cooperation, situation in Kosovo-Metohija and the attitude toward KFOR soldiers. “I think we have achieved an important degree of agreement regarding key issues,” Vucic said and added that the staged reception ceremony points to Serbia's importance today and the goals which Serbia can present in the relations with Germany and the EU in the time to come.
