DS official denies colleagues requested her dismissal

BELGRADE Democratic Party (DS) deputy leader Jelena Trivan has denied that anybody in the DS has requested that she resign. She added that those who wanted to hide their own responsibility and liability were attacking her, stressing that she had never been a part of the government. Commenting on media allegations that DS deputy leader Dragan Djilas requested her dismissal, Trivan said that Djilas had not rejected her and that the two of them wanted to return the DS to the political scene. “We communicate regularly. Just like with (DS leader) Boris Tadic. A woman in a party has the same position she has in the society – constantly without real power and strength, always on the sidelines when decisions are made but she is always the first when responsibility needs to be assumed,” she pointed out, adding that she had done nothing wrong.
