BELGRADE Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) deputy leader Zarko Obradovic has stated that reorganization of authorities in local self-governments will continue. According to him, the new ruling majorities will be formed wherever it is possible. “Forming of new local ruling majorities to continue” “The local authorities need to be made of parties that make the government on the republic level,” Obradovic explained. “One should not forget that the forming of the republic authorities took a little longer when compared to the local self-governments where some of them were formed earlier, but there is no reason for changes not to take place now and it will happen in the following period,” he told Jagodina-based Palma plus TV. The SPS official assessed that the new government was thus far more agile than the previous one, adding that Prime Minister Ivica Dacic provided the impetus and that the team work was visible. The Socialists on Thursday reached an agreement with the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) to form a new ruling majority in the Novi Sad City Assembly. The new majority now has 42 seats in the assembly. Zarko Obradovic (Tanjug, file) Tanjug
