“Croatia should not be allowed to join EU”

BELGRADE United Serbia (JS) leader Dragan Markovic believes that the EU should ban Croatia’s celebration of the Operation Storm. He stressed that the operation represented the biggest genocide since WWII. “Croatia should not be allowed to join EU” Markovic added that Croatia should be banned from entering the EU because of it, stressing that there were double standards in the EU when it came to the EU accession and that one rules applied to Serbia and others to Croatia. He supported an initiative of refugee association to erect a monument to the Serb victims of the Croatian army’s Operation Storm, adding that every European official should visit the monument and pay their respects to the victims when they come to Serbia. The JS leader pointed out that Serbian representatives should openly say that Serbs had suffered both genocide and ethnic cleansing in Croatia. “I watched a report about Croat officials celebrating without being ashamed of something that is the biggest crime of all times,” Markovic noted.
