ZAGREB Croatian President Ivo Josipovic will meet with his Serbian counterpart when he "clearly shows that he has changed his attitude toward neighboring countries". This was announced by Josipovic's office on Friday. Josipovic to meet Nikolic "when he shows he changed policy" "Given the policy which President Nikolic advocated in the 1990s and his recent statements about Vukovar and Srebrenica, a meeting of the two presidents will be possible when President Nikolic clearly shows that he has changed his attitude toward neighboring countries," the statement said in response to Nikolic's announcement that he would soon meet with Josipovic. Nikolic told Belgrade-based daily Danas he would officially meet with Josipovic soon. Josipovic "welcomes Nikolic's wish to continue bilateral meetings and policy of reconciliation and good neighborly relations," the statement added. "Since the beginning of his term, President Josipovic has been advocating good relations with Serbia, including the need for resolving the many outstanding issues between the two countries," the statement says.
