PM: New BIA head will not be appointed on Thursday
A new head of the Security-Information Agency (BIA) will not be appointed Thursday as announced earlier, Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dačić has said.

SREMSKA KAMENICA A new head of the Security-Information Agency (BIA) will not be appointed Thursday as announced earlier, Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic has said. According to him, candidates should first be assessed by the National Security Council. PM: New BIA head will not be appointed on Thursday Dacic told reporters in Sremska Kamenica on Thursday that amendments to the Law on the Basic Principles of Organization of the Security Services of the Republic of Serbia should be enforced first so that the National Security Council could state its opinion on the candidates in line with the law. When asked whether the new BIA head will be appointed after the summer holiday, the prime minister said that the government would not have any break and that it would hold sessions every week.
