28 people injured in bus-truck collision
At least 28 people were injured when a bus and a truck collided on the Ibar highway near the central Serbian town of Čačak around midnight.

BELGRADE At least 28 people were injured when a bus and a truck collided on the Ibar highway near the central Serbian town of Cacak around midnight. Eight passengers were kept in the Gornji Milanovac Hospital, including two seriously injured persons. 28 people injured in bus-truck collision Seriously injured bus driver Dusan Runjo of Banja Luka was transferred to the Kragujevac Clinical Center. Gornji Milanovac Surgical Ward Head Tomislav Pejovic told B92 on Thursday morning that none of the injured passengers were in life-threatening condition. “Patients from last night’s traffic accident are stable. The eight hospitalized patients are well and they are out of life-threatening danger. They will be released after the necessary diagnostic procedure this afternoon,” he added. According to Cacak traffic police, the bus was traveling from Banja Luka to Nis and most of the passengers are from the Republic of Srpska (RS). According to Čačak traffic police, the bus was traveling from Banja Luka to Niš and most of the passengers are from the Republic of Srpska (RS).
The highway was closed for traffic for almost two hours after the crash.
