BELGRADE Chinese PM Wen Jiabao sent a letter of congratulations to Ivica Dacic congratulating him on being elected the head of the new Serbian government. “On behalf of the Chinese government and my own I sincerely congratulate you and I wish you success in achieving new results," the letter, presented to Dacic by Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Zhang Wanxue, reads, and adds: Chinese PM congratulates newly elected Serbian counterpart "The relations between China and Serbia have been quite successful over the past several years. Our countries have improved their bilateral exchange, deepened their political trust and stepped up their economic and trade cooperation." "The government of China places special importance on consistent development of relations with Serbia. We wish to make efforts together to expand overall bilateral cooperation between our states and to raise our strategic partnership to an even higher level”, the message concluded.
