BRUSSELS Prime Minister-designate Ivica Dacic's visit to Brussels scheduled for July 26 has been postponed until September, Tanjug news agency reported on Thursday. This came "because of the calendar related to forming the Serbian government", diplomatic sources in Brussels were quoted as saying. Next PM's Brussels trip postponed for September The parliament vote on the new government, originally planned for the start of next week, was postponed for July 24-26, precisely when Dacic, as the new prime minister, was supposed to visit Brussels. Most of the EU officials will be going on holiday at the end of next week, so July 26 was the latest available date for the visit. "It would make no sense to organize the visit later in July or August," an EU diplomat wishing to remain anonymous told Tanjug. This means that Dacic will be invited to Brussels in early September, after the EU institutions go back to their "working mode". The opinion in the diplomatic circles is that it is a pity this opportunity was missed, considering the symbolic significance of the prime minister's first visit abroad, Tanjug reported.
