"All departments and the office will cooperate and constantly monitor the situation in the southern Serb province," explained the daily. The cabinet portfolio of Kosovo and Metohija was given to the Serb Progressives (SNS) and it is "their idea" that "everyone in the new government, from vice presidents to ministers - should care about the province". Furthermore, the Progressives believe that "the recipe of the previous government which had a Ministry for Kosovo, did not bring results". "During discussions about whether to shut down the ministry, the argument won that its existence might resemble us treating the province as if it were the diaspora," the newspaper writes. The next cabinet will have another office that will deal with the diaspora issues. The final decision will be made by the end of the week at a session of the SNS main board. Vecernje novosti
