Progressives, Socialists to decide on ministers next week

BELGRADE The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) will next week name candidates for future ministers, Beta news agency has learnt. The SNS told Beta that the new government would probably have three deputy prime ministers but that the final decision still had not been made. Progressives, Socialists to decide on ministers next week The Progressives say that SNS acting leader Aleksandar Vucic would announce at the SNS Main Board meeting whether he would be a part of the government. According to announcements, a constitutive session of the Serbian parliament where speaker and deputy speakers will be chosen will be held on July 23. A new session will be scheduled afterward and MPs will debate on the Law on Government and Law on Ministries. Parliament should then vote on the new government. The SPS should also hold a Main Board meeting next week, Beta news agency has learnt from the SPS-led coalition. Candidates for ministerial positions will be chosen at the Main Board meeting that will be held several days before the parliament session where the new government will be chosen. SPS leader Ivica Dacic, who will be the PM, will also be a candidate for interior minister, Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic will be a candidate for health minister, Zarko Obradovic for education minister and Milutin Mrkonjic for infrastructure minister. The Progressives say that SNS acting leader Aleksandar Vučić would announce at the SNS Main Board meeting whether he would be a part of the government.

According to announcements, a constitutive session of the Serbian parliament where speaker and deputy speakers will be chosen will be held on July 23.

A new session will be scheduled afterward and MPs will debate on the Law on Government and Law on Ministries. Parliament should then vote on the new government.
