LDP leader says his party is "natural partner to DS and SPS"

Cedomir Jovanovic says a coalition led by his party is a natural partner to the Democratic Party (DS) and the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS). The leader of the LDP and the U-Turn Movement gathered around it also revealed on Thursday that he was "ready to talk to the parties' leaders Boris Tadic and Ivica Dacic". The LDP leader stressed that there are differences between the program of his party and the one of the SPS, but that it is normal to make compromises at the beginning of government's work, when the body should determine a clear economic policy, Serbia's EU path, "and how to protect the Serb community in Kosovo and Metohija". Asked if he sees himself as "deputy PM, minister of european integration, or minister of foreign affairs" - he replied that these posts required "an experienced diplomat".
