A meeting between the coalitions gathered around the Democratic Party (DS) and the Socialist Party (SPS) ended late on Monday after an hour and a half. The negotiations took place at the DS headquarters in Belgrade and party leaders did not address the media afterwards. DS, SPS-PUPS-JS discuss government, 3rd partner Ahead of the first official meeting, leaders of DS and SPS, Boris Tadiccand Ivica Dacic said that their two pre-election coalitions expected to form a parliament majority and a government "promptly". Dacic and Tadic said that the priorities of their agreement would cover the principles of the future government and aims it should achieve. They also stated that a part of the joint agreement covers the matter of the third partner in the government coalition which would be discussed later in the day. The talks on the constitution of a parliament majority and government were attended by leaders of the Party of united Pensioners of Serbia (PUPS) and United Serbia (JS) Jovan Krkobabic and Dragan "Palma" Markovic, and DS party officials Dragan Djilas and Jelena Trivan. Officials of the Liberal Democratic Party and United Regions of Serbia, which are considered to be potential third coalition partner, say that they were not contacted either formally or informally. Ahead of the first official meeting, leaders of DS and SPS, Boris Tadicćand Ivica Dačić said that their two pre-election coalitions expected to form a parliament majority and a government "promptly".

Dačić and Tadic said that the priorities of their agreement would cover the principles of the future government and aims it should achieve.

They also stated that a part of the joint agreement covers the matter of the third partner in the government coalition which would be discussed later in the day.
