Newly elected President Tomislav Nikolic will meet with Democratic Party (DS) Boris Tadic Monday, Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Aleksandar Vucic says. “Nikolic already met with Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) leader Ivica Dacic,” Vucic added. Nikolic to confer with DS leader on Monday He said that both DS and SPS had a problem with legitimacy as far as the forming of the government, but noted that "SNS will not make a problem" should the two provide a parliamentary majority. Vucic stressed he was ready to discuss with everyone the difficult economic circumstances and the political situation in the country. “Tadic and Dacic have legitimacy issues and we have a problem how to be in the government with those who have destroyed the country,” he pointed out. When asked whether a coalition, or some time-limited agreement, was possible between DS and SNS, he said that it would be difficult for SNS to make such a decision, adding that in his opinion it was even impossible. “But do not let me be the judge of that,” the SNS leader said, noting that it was for the party's relevant bodies to decide on that. “Anyway, I will not be the one that will propose such a thing,” he added. When asked to comment on the speculations in certain media about the future local government in Belgrade, Vucic dismissed the possibility of assuming the post of the capital's mayor.
