Polls opened at 7:00 CET across Serbia in the runoff elections on Sunday. Voters will choose a new head of state and the residents of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina will also vote for the second half of a total of 120 MPs in the new provincial assembly. Polls open across Serbia The citizens will choose between Boris Tadic, presidential candidate of the Democratic Party (DS)-led coalition and and Tomislav Nikolic, presidential candidate of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS)-led coalition. The first one on the ballot is Tadic, who in the first round won 25.31 percent (989,454 votes), and the second is Nikolic, who won 25.05 percent (979,236 votes). A total of 6,770,013 registered voters will be able to vote at 8,390 polling stations in the country and abroad until 20:00 CET on Sunday when the polls will close. Serbian citizens living in 22 countries can vote at 38 polling stations, while those living in the U.S., Canada and Great Britain already voted on Saturday. Serbian citizens in Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Italy, the Republic of South Africa, Cyprus, Libya, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Romania, Russia, Germany, Slovenia, France, the Netherlands, Croatia, Montenegro, the Czech Republic and Switzerland will vote between 7:00 and 20:00 local time on Sunday.
