Vucic was also optimistic that the margin "could only grow" once the ballots cast in Kosovo and Metohija have been counted. As for the presidential election, Vucic said that party leader Tomislav Nikolic "was leading" ahead of Boris Tadic of the Democratic Party (DS). The presidential race will be decided in the runoff two weeks from now. "The SNS has definitely won the parliamentary election. We wish to form the next government, but that will be up to the presidential election, where we also expect victory," Vucic noted.
