Serbian presidential and parliamentary elections, organized in Kosovo by OSCE will not be monitored by proper observers, an OSCE mission spokesman says. Nikola Gaon told Tanjug on Saturday that due to time constraints OSCE was not able to ensure the presence of observers for the voting. OSCE: No observers at elections in Kosovo He reminded that OSCE got the green light to organize the elections on Monday, meaning the mission had only five days for the preparations. “OSCE personnel will be present at the polling stations,” he stressed. Gaon explained that around 500 people would be involved in the electoral process and that five representatives of OSCE would be present at each of the 90 polling stations. Personnel from other OSCE missions in the region were brought in to cover all polling stations. Up to eight people can vote in one polling station at the same time. In order to ensure the integrity of the voting process, a limitation on media presence has also been instituted - no more than two cameras can film at one polling station simultaneously.
