Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Tomislav Nikolic said in the central Serbian city of Kragujevac on Sunday he would eradicate poverty and corruption. He stressed that the “Let’s get Serbia moving” coalition, led by the SNS, would win the presidential, parliamentary and local elections on May 6. He repeated that his party would eradicate poverty and stressed that “Serbia has fallen asleep and we need to wake it up”. “Therefore I call on you to go to the polls and call your neighbors, even though they voted for others before,” Nikolic said. “I have an obligation not to allow poverty to exist anymore, that not a single child is hungry and they can find a job once they have finished school, but also that not a single elderly person is in a situation that they cannot live off their pension,” he added. “I want to organize the country modeled after Germany where you pay taxes and you know what the state owes you, where you have a good economic system and where judges are not under the influence of the government and criminals,” Nikolic concluded.
