Tadić’s candidacy submitted to RIK
The Democratic Party (DS) has submitted 27,606 signatures of the citizens who support Boris Tadić’s presidential bid to the Republic Electoral Commission (RIK).

The Democratic Party (DS) has submitted 27,606 signatures of the citizens who support Boris Tadic’s presidential bid to the Republic Electoral Commission (RIK). DS deputy leaders Dragan Djilas, Dragan Sutanovac, Bojan Pajtic, Jelana Trivan and other representatives of the "Choice for a Better Life - Boris Tadic" coalition submitted the list. Tadic’s candidacy submitted to RIK Djilas addressed reporters afterwards and expressed belief that the Serbian citizens would support Tadic and the policy of the EU integration, peace, security and development in the elections on May 6. “We submitted 27,606 signatures of the citizens for Boris Tadic’s reelection as the Serbian president. Thanks to Tadic’s responsible decision we will have the general elections on May 6,” he pointed out. The DS deputy leader and Belgrade mayor noted that Tadic was the Serbian president for eight years. “Majority of citizens are aware of what has been done. Boris Tadic’s policy is a policy of the EU integration, peace, security and development and I am sure that the citizens will support this policy on May 6,” Djilas stressed. When asked who of the other candidates had a chance to win most votes, he said that he was not thinking about it. (Tanjug) Tanjug
