Democratic Party (DS) official Nada Kolundzija says that the success in the EU integration process in the last four years is a guarantee for new investments. “The success is also a guarantee for the development of infrastructure, access to new funds, even for opening of new jobs,” she stressed. Democrats “have solution for unemployment” The DS official told daily Danas that “shifty policies and shifty politicians” were not the best recommendation for fulfillment of the European goal and providing a better life to Serbian citizens. Kolundzija noted that unemployment was the biggest problem Serbia was facing but that the Democrats had a solution for it. “Everyday announcements of foreign investors that they are ready to invest their money in Serbia, which is firmly going down the European path, are a reason for optimism and a confirmation that the citizens have a choice for a better life on May 6. It is necessary to send a clear message that Serbia is not ready for uncertainty and adventure and that it is choosing clear European values instead,” she was quoted as saying. When asked who the potential investors were, Kolundzija said that they were individuals and companies who recognized that their investments in Serbia would be safe and who saw predictability of the process and reliability. “The symbol of that reliability is of course (DS leader) Boris Tadic and certainly not those who used to spread hatred and intolerance toward the EU until yesterday,“ she added. The DS official believes that it was in Serbia’s best interest to bring fresh foreign capital. “All the countries in transition do this in various ways.
