Tadić "sure of victory" ahead of May 6 elections

Ruling Democratic Party (DS) leader and Serbian President Boris Tadić said on Friday that he was sure of his party’s victory in the upcoming elections on May 6.

Ruling Democratic Party (DS) leader and Serbian President Boris Tadic said on Friday that he was sure of his party’s victory in the upcoming elections on May 6. He spoke while on a visit to Trieste, Italy. Tadic "sure of victory" ahead of May 6 elections “I am optimistic about the elections. After all, we have had many election campaigns so far and we always won and we will win this time as well,” the Tadic stressed. However, he did not say whether early presidential elections will be held together with parliamentary, local and provincial elections. When asked if and when he was planning on calling the presidential elections, Tadic said: “Renzo Tondo (Friuli Venezia Giulia region president) and I will continue to cooperate after the elections from our respective positions.” He told a press conference that his visit to Italy had been scheduled in advance and that “he is working on attracting foreign investments in Serbia and on the pre-election process”.
