Belgrade team chief Borislav Stefanovic says Kosovo representation and a number of problems regarding integrated border management will be discussed Wednesday. Ahead of the dialog, Stefanovic told reporters he did not expect the talks to go easy and they could take another day to complete. Belgrade negotiator: We're ready for agreement “We are fully ready to reach an agreement and compromise that would be in line with the interests of both sides. Just like before, we will move within the framework of Resolution 1244 (UN Security Council), the Serbian Constitution and the national interests,” he explained. When it comes to the technical protocol for integrated control of administrative crossings, Stefanovic is confident no problems should arise if the protocol follows the spirit of the agreement the two sides reached last year. “Our position is that the crossings should serve their function but should not have the elements of national border crossings,” the head of Belgrade's negotiating team said. Asked about Serbia's prospects of getting the EU membership candidate status in March, the team head said that the West should now offer a proof that the Western Balkans would not fall hostage to any political project, including Pristina's. “If there is no agreement, everyone loses, even Pristina,” he added. Commenting on Pristina's team running 24 hours late for the talks, Stefanovic said that Brussels had explained that the reasons for that were technical and the Belgrade team had believed them.
