K. Albanian official claims recognition

First Deputy Prime Minister of the government in Pristina Behgjet Pacolli said Monday that Ghana had recognized Kosovo as independent. Presenting the results of lobbying for the recognition of Kosovo's independence at a news conference, Pacolli said that Ghanaian president and foreign minister had promised him that they would recognize Kosovo during their meetings in the U.S. and in Turkey, and that they did so officially on Monday. Albanian official claims recognition Pacolli said he hoped that the decision of Ghana to recognize Kosovo's independence "will influence other former British colonies which have not yet recognized Kosovo". Pacolli also previously reported success in lobbying for the recognition of Kosovo in African countries.
