“Many fear strong SPO, U-Turn policy”

Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO) Presidency has decided that the party’s goals will dictate its strategic partnership with the U-Turn movement members. The SPO stated that it will decisively stand up to the “revival of the policy of hatred, lynch and orchestrated hunts from the tragic 90s”. “Many fear strong SPO, U-Turn policy” “We want cooperation and friendship with everybody with whom we until recently lived in the same state, unconditional and fast Euro-Atlantic integrations and Serbia’s European transformation and progress,” the SPO stated in a release, adding that the party had suffered greatly in its two-decade long fight for such Serbia. The party stressed that it was possible to build a well-organized and prosperous Serbia only on the principles of modern Europe, whose foundations must be regionalization, decentralization, polycentric development, revival of the villages and modern agriculture, strong local self-government and solidary domestic and European aid funds for the poorest municipalities. “With EU’s supervision, the secret files will be opened, hidden crimes solved, independent justice system will come to life and authorities’ connections with crime will be cut,” the SPO believes. The party added that those who feared the changes in Serbia that should have happened after October 5, 2000 feared the strong SPO and strong U-Turn policy. Tanjug
